If Lord Dunsany had written porn, this would be it

This is a fascinating short, which mashes the genres of weird fiction, fantasy and erotica in a dreamlike phantasm. If Lord Dunsany had written porn, it would probably have been something like this.

The dreamlike quality of the story also puts me in mind of Neil Jordan’s subtly erotic 1984 movie, The Company of Wolves – although there’s little subtle about the eroticism of “Monstrous Lust’ – and that’s the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, we like it!

The story is at once simple and weird – an ordinary mountains town slips into a dream-state where only a select company of the wild women of the town remain awake to greet the forest gods who move in, to celebrate their festival of lust.

And celebrate, they do. If weird monster sex is your thing, this story will do it for you.
